ARTICLE III

Membership, Voting, and Suspension

Section 1: Membership

A. Any person, persons, or organization that applies shall be entitled to membership in KSHSC upon payment of the annual membership fee as fixed by KSHSC.

B. Membership in KSHSC shall be of four (4) types:

1. Individual: An individual membership is for one person.

2. Family: A family membership is for two or more members of an immediate family.

a. Children not living at home and/or over 18 are not included in their parents’ family membership.

b. Children, no matter what age, who have married constitute a new family and are no longer included in their parents’ family membership.

Mission Statement:

To make horse showing available to all breeds and all levels of youth and adult riders.

To promote the education of the people of Kansas in the breeding, care, use, handling and development of horses and horsemanship.

To encourage good sportsmanship and proper conduct among horsemen and horsewomen and to foster good fellowship among all persons interested in horses.

To encourage proper and humane handling and care of horses; and to prevent cruelty to animals.
